NEUROINTERFACES
The course aims to explore the possibilities of using biological feedback to create artwork in the context of Art&Science.
Through a series of lectures and practical exercises, students will form their research topics within the stated master topic.
TASKS
- to identify the areas of artistic research of students both within the framework of the Minor and for further artistic practice;
-explore the possibilities of using neural interfaces to create new concepts and areas of research;
-create graphic/audio prototypes in the context of selected studies.
METHODOLOGY
The course consists of two parts: lecture and practical.
The lecture part includes an analysis of the basic principles of the operation of neural interfaces (EEG), as well as the main aspects of integrating this technology into the context of Art&Science.
In addition, the course is aimed at working out the hypotheses of students developed in the previous modules of the Minor /
Practical lessons are based on testing hypotheses through the review and study of tools for creating generative graphics and generative sound.
RESULT
Final presentation containing the concept of the project with references, as well as a project or a series of prototypes implemented on the basis of practical exercises.
